Dr. Bernie Villadiego has practiced dentistry in the San Fernando Valley for over 18 years. He received his DDS degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1989 and went on to complete a general practice residency program at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center. He established a private practice with an emphasis in esthetic and reconstructive dentistry in the Los Angeles suburb of Chatsworth, California in October 1993.
An expert in the field of cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Villadiego has taught practicing doctors the current and advanced techniques in cosmetic dentistry. He is a clinical instructor for the Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion residency programs at the Esthetic Professionals Dental Education Center in California. He also mentors dentists at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry with Spear education. He has also completed continuums at the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Washington and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in Florida.
Dr. Bernie Villadiego has earned the accredited member status with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a much sought-after and coveted professional credential that is obtained by very few in dentistry. The accreditation program is a lengthy and challenging process, requiring the successful completion of written exams, documented clinical case submissions, and oral exams. In fact, Dr. Villadiego is one of only 300 dental professionals in the world and the only dentist in the northern San Fernando Valley to have achieved this prestigious designation. It demands years of practice, education and testing, and is the highest accreditation achieved in cosmetic dentistry. Accreditation in the AACD is recognized throughout the world as the path to excellence in cosmetic dentistry. Very few dentists ever achieve this status.
Dr. Villadiego is a participating dentist for the national Give Back a Smile program, providing esthetic dentistry to victims of domestic violence. His expertise and techniques are regularly featured in the news. He has appeared on Fox 11’s news segment "Ask the Expert".
